Litigation is the pursuit of practical ends, not a game of chess.

For business people, litigation is a necessary evil (in fact, for business people, lawyers themselves are a necessary evil!). Every person involved in commercial activity has more useful things to spend his money and time on than bringing and defending claims in Court.

However, in the real world, contracts are broken, liberties taken and years of hard work put at risk by the unreasonableness, incompetence or dishonesty of other people. When this happens, people have to protect their businesses and their livelihoods and the most effective way to do so is by forceful and thorough legal representation.

We have acted for many different types of businesses over the years, but one thing was true of all of them – they needed disputes dealt with as swiftly and as cost-effectively as possible, because each dispute bled valuable funds and resources from the business. Our approach to commercial disputes is not legalistic; it is simple and practical – (a) to do whatever it takes within the law to bring the dispute to an end quickly and inexpensively; and (b) if such does not prove possible, to litigate with the commitment necessary to transfer the balance of risk to the opponent.

Business can be a hard road. You should choose a lawyer who is really on your side and takes you business as seriously as they take their own.
