If you could give your 20 year old self one piece of advice what would it be?

Don’t fret over things you have no control of.

If you could change your name what would it be and why?

Why would I want another one? Unless it was John so ignorant people could pronounce it without having to try.

You have a 1 minute ad slot during the FA Cup Final, what would you fill it with?

Anything that educates people about prejudices.

If you had to live without one, would you choose internet or AC and heating?

Internet as I never use AC voluntarily and can keep warm with a blanket.

My most annoying habit is?

Talking in my sleep. Apparently!! But I’m sure my friends and colleagues will have a whole list…

Shakeel is an experienced solicitor in the property team at The Law House speciliasing in commercial and residential conveyancing. Shakeel deals with all aspects of commercial property. He also deals with the sale and purchase of leasehold and freehold properties, as well as lease extensions and re-mortgages.

At The Law House we immediately recognised Shakeel’s experience having been qualified as a solicitor for over 25 years. He fully recognises that any property sale or purchase can be one of the most stressful times for clients and his work ethic is such that he works hard to alleviate some of the anxieties felt by clients, such as being available on the telephone, or being readily available by email to deal with concerns and queries. His ability to manage the purchase of a freehold, sometimes with many co-leaseholders who all have difference concerns is testament to his people skills. Shakeel likes to be involved from the start of any conveyancing transaction so that he can provide guidance and advice in the initial negotiation process.

What can we tell you about Shakeel? Apart from being extremely hardworking, other members of staff would say that he is one the most calm people they know. He is patient and diligent. His experience makes him a valued member of the conveyancing team and a constant resource. His quiet, calm approach and his generous sense of humour create a sense of cohesion and harmony in the team. He will take time to answer questions patiently, even with a demanding workload. Clients really appreciate he support and integrity and approachability. Shakeel would say that it is the ability to take the stress out of conveyancing transactions that makes a real difference to the process.
