Buy property, lots of property, lots and lots of property.

If you could change your name what would it be and why?

I have already changed my name, I was born Randy and am known professionally as Randal. I did so to reduce the subtle tittering I got when introducing myself.

You have a 1 minute ad slot during the FA Cup Final, what would you fill it with?

A domestic violence awareness ad.

If you had to live without one, would you choose internet or AC and heating?

Cannot take the boy out of Canada, heating all the way.

My most annoying habit is?

Being practically perfect in every way.

Randal Buckley works in our family law team and also deals with Wills and lasting Powers of Attorney. Randal specialises in all areas of family law including the complex and emotional issue in family relationships. His main areas of practice are divorce and separation, finance, alternative family arrangements, pre-marital agreements, “living together” agreements, cohabitation disputes, children, international relocation together with Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney. More recently, Randal has been dealing with cohabitation disputes and by default, this has become a sort of specialism for him, although he deals with all aspects of family law. Born and raised in Canada and educated both in Canada and the UK, Randal brings international qualifications and experience to his legal work. In addition to his other clients, he has also developed a niche practice with alternative families and has gained a sensitive approach to a wide variety of family arrangements. He understands that no two families are alike and he has a broad humanitarian and compassionate attitude.

What can we tell you about Randal? Other members of staff would say he is hard working, diligent and humorous even when the day is tough or when court dates are approaching. They like his clarity and above all his patience. Randal says he understands that solicitors can, at times, seem remote. He deals with matters in a friendly and unapproachable manner whilst always retaining a professional outlook. Finding creative solutions to often very difficult circumstances is his strength.
